Confederation Comics
by Emmalou on May.08, 2012, under School
I think the message of this cartoon is that all important people that were in confederation wanted to be the person who was recognized for confederation. I think the artist was in favor of confederation because they are showing that confederation was the birth of something very good.Photo 1
I think that the author was against confederation because in this picture John A. Mac Donald is crushing all his competition to build the rail way connecting all the provinces.

History Reflection
by Emmalou on Feb.24, 2012, under Uncategorized
I remember that you can see bias everywhere around you, in the news paper, on television even in your own community. Being bias about people or assuming something because of what you see or hear or read is not right. We should look into something more and then get a better idea of what has happened.
I noticed that bias is a big part of our lives and you can be bias by the way you type a sentence. On the headline of a newspaper it could say ” Orange air ambulance leaves baby waiting 4 hours” That is being bias because it might not have been the pilots fault it could have been because of a storm. I think the title should have been “Weather leaves baby waiting for air ambulance 4 hours”
I was unaware of bias being such a big affect on our lives because we see it every day and just assume something out of a title or what someone has said about someone else.
